Translate the layout into work
In an 8x10 plan, compare separate enclosures with a shared wet-area option only after their waterproofing boundaries are drawn. Identify tub service access and the floor transitions in each. Include the implications for ventilation, glass and surrounding finishes in the proposed scope.
Verify before procurement
A room-size label does not establish installation clearances or available framing depth. The measured drawing should include finished surfaces, openings, fixture projections and drain positions. Assign field verification before ordering products. Where an arrangement changes plumbing or structure, identify that work separately so the price reflects the actual layout rather than a generic room package. Also label retained fixtures and adjacent finishes that must be protected or repaired during installation.
Why define the wet-area boundary early?
It determines which surfaces and interfaces must be designed for water exposure. Without it, two layouts may be priced with materially different floor and wall assemblies despite similar fixture positions.
