Translate the layout into work
For a 6x10 tub-and-shower project, distinguish shared wet-zone construction from separate enclosures. Identify the waterproofing extent, both plumbing connections and the finish transition between them. The plan should show why the proposed configuration fits the measured room.
Verify before procurement
A room-size label does not establish installation clearances or available framing depth. The measured drawing should include finished surfaces, openings, fixture projections and drain positions. Assign field verification before ordering products. Where an arrangement changes plumbing or structure, identify that work separately so the price reflects the actual layout rather than a generic room package. Also label retained fixtures and adjacent finishes that must be protected or repaired during installation.
Does placing the tub beside the shower combine their installation scope?
No. They still have distinct support, connection and access requirements. Any shared waterproofed area also needs its own detailing rather than an assumption that one system covers both automatically.
